Slow Down & Smell the Roses

You know, life can be so busy, so demanding that sometimes we forget to just slow down and smell the roses.

I know for me it’s so much easier to do things myself instead of having the kids help. Last night as I was cleaning up in the kitchen, my kids came over and said I want to help. My first thought was “no! I am going to do it” and then I thought maybe I should let them help even though it was going to take a lot longer.

It was good for me just to “slow down and smell the roses”. Although I didn’t actually smell roses, I just enjoyed my little ones having fun helping out. Take some time to slow down and smell the roses this week!
