4th of July Fun {with American Flag Shirts}

I hope you and your family had a wonderful 4th of July!

We had a very busy weekend and thankfully my husband didn’t have to work Monday. My kids & I had went to a playdate where we made American Flags handprints shirts. I got the inspiration for making them from the Nothing but Country blog. And I made my husband & I one, I’m cheesy like that!

I got all of our shirts for under $10, so I think that was a pretty great deal considering we normally get shirts from Old Navy for around $5 each.  I then sewed a red bandanna to my daughter’s shirt, I cut some of the shirt off since it was too long.

We joined some friends for the Festival on the 4th in downtown and had an awesome time. There was an orchestra playing and tons of people all waiting for the fireworks.

eating a treat: a corndog, I enjoyed one too!

I must say I have the best husband ever! He accepts my cheesy-ness and wears family patriotic shirts every year and this year I think he looked pretty cute in his.

right in front of our view was the flag, but I think it made for some neat pictures

We had a great Independence Day! And are so THANKFUL for our freedom!

How did you spend your 4th of July?
