- Dr. Axe breaks down Real food vs. Fake food, his main tip is Don’t Count Calories, Count Nutrients.
- Book has a “real food pyramid”– this is awesome because it shows healthy food with how much you need, very different than the traditional food pyramid we’re used to.
- The ABC’s explains food with a colorful array of foods and why or why they’re not they’re good for you. Very helpful for someone new to real food.
- There’s a food matching section that shows icons that are labeled on the recipes to know what to make when you’re feeling sick, low energy, quick recipes, post work out, etc.
- There are categories to choose from with several recipes in each including breakfast, drinks, salads, soups and stews, sauces and dressings, main dishes, side dishes, snacks, and desserts.
- All of the recipes are pretty simple and accompanied with beautiful pictures.
- There are 130 recipes that are made with wholesome ingredients.
- There isn’t a Table of Contents or index. This would be a nice feature so I could simply open to the page number for the recipe I wanted to find instead of flipping through
- The pages stuck together in certain areas. I don’t like this because you have to carefully pull them apart or the pages will rip
