12 days of Christmas {Day 3: Making Babies Book & Dvds}

Today is the 3rd day of the 12 days of Christmas Reviews & Giveaways 2012!

On the 3rd day of Christmas, day2day joys gave to me…

An awesome giveaway from Bulk Herb Store, which is natural homesteading focused company centered on educating their customers to live a more natural lifestyle while offering premium products and resources like the Making Babies book and DVD Series you can learn more about today!

Side note: I actually got this set shortly after my 2nd pregnancy loss late summer but to be honest I just couldn’t look at the material at that point, however, I was able to lay my burdens at the Lord’s feet for him to carry them, he knows what is best for me and we’ll see if His plans involve a baby in His timing!

After watching and reading through the Making Babies Series I am pleased to tell you a bit about it.  It’s more than what the title portrays, it is really a natural living & real food and recipe book and wonderful dvd collection. Yes, it does include some important baby information but really the focus is really raising families with a natural focus. And this post could go on & on but I only have so much time (so buy it for 30% off until Friday & definitely enter to WIN!)

You’ll find information about natural alternatives, natural pregnancy, real food recipes, home remedies, and even herb infused lotions and lots more! The wealth of knowledge Shoshanna has put into this series is really very valuable, probably worth way more than the retail cost of $110.

Features of Making Babies:

  • This series is a guide to deliciously healthy recipes, wonderful gluten-free recipes, grandma’s remedies, herbal concoctions, and need-to-know facts, and is packed with research about fertility, conception, morning sickness, pregnancy, birth, nursing, postpartum issues, losing weight- that came directly from website but really that covers it.
  • The book is 480 pages chock full of everything you need to know about pregnancy and beyond
  • The are 3 Dvds that are over 7 hours long
  • The book as well as the Dvds are well made, beautifully photographed and include recipes, tips and so much more for the naturally-minded families.
Great selection of bulk herbs, books, and remedies. Articles, Research Aids and much more.

Now for my review:

What I Liked:

  1. I pretty mentioned what I liked loved about this series above but will state it again, Shoshanna did an awesome job going through the 3 trimesters, pregnant herself so you could see what someone would look like in that stage, giving you tips & recipes to make the most of each trimester.
  2. Although the recipes are real food focused, they are simple, she lays out the directions step by step
  3. I love the authenticity Shoshanna gives during the 3rd Dvd
  4. This set helps prepare you for motherhood, helps you though infertility and is very encouraging. (Makes me excited about having more babies, Lord Willing)

What I didn’t Like:

  1. What isn’t there to like about this collection, the pictures are beautiful and all of the recipes whether they are food or remedies are useful and delicious.

Comments

  1. The best thing about being a mom is the unconditional love that they provide. I am due with our ltitle girl in Feb and cannot wait to meet her!

  2. The best part of being a mom is that whether the day is good or bad, there is always lots of love to go around 🙂

  3. Days of being a mom are full of fun, laughter and cuteness!! 🙂

  4. The best thing about being a mom is just being a mom. My baby was 20 months old when she left this earth for Heaven, but someday I will see her again. Meanwhile, I love the memories of all her preciousness.

  5. I love watching my toddler grow up and act like a big person. She’s so independent and smart it blows my mind! I love every.single.thing about her <3

  6. The job of mothering is so varied that it fits my personalilty completely. In a single day we mothers: cook, clean, read, make art, organize, nurse wounds, teach and train, have innumerable opportunities for learning, and much more!

  7. I think the connection to the future…

  8. LOVE this series!!! Packed full of so much great stuff 😀

  9. The snuggles! (I’m not a mom yet, but hopefully next year!)

  10. The best thing about kids is the enthusiasm the they have for the little things in life.

  11. I love cuddle time!

  12. The best thing is to hear my little boy’s laughter (almost 7 months) 😀

  13. I’m not a mom yet, but I am a teacher. I love it when the kids walk in with their big smiles. It always makes me happy.

  14. I think one of the best things about being a mom is when you can comfort them and listening to their creative and imaginative minds.

  15. Hearing the little voice say, “I uve oo too, mommy” 🙂

  16. Best thing about being a mom…there are two:
    1) Knowing that the Lord has entrusted me with a life to birth forth and then guide back to Him. What an entrustment!

    2) Hugs and kisses!

  17. Such a fantastic set! I’d love to be able to give this to a friend of mine who is expecting!

  18. Their little hugs and eyes of trust. It’s a big job to be a mom!

  19. The whole concept of living for someone else takes a whole new level when you have kids – it teaches and stretches me.
