Today I really entered my 30’s! Yes, I know I just spent the whole last year at the age of 30 but since it was tailgating my 29th birthday, I felt a little bit better about it.
So, I’m celebrating my 31st birthday and although I still feel like I’m 20 in my mind, if I ever have to fill anything out like this, I’ll have to check this box now… holy moly I’m 31!
In the past I’ve shared 30 things before I wanted to accomplish before I turned 30 (which I did get most of them done, some will wait for the 40 before 40 I suppose) and last year, one my hardest years yet, I didn’t really have any room for 31 things to accomplish so I thought I’d share 31 things you might not know about me!
- I am not good at to-do lists. I write them (sometimes) but then I get side tracked or what have you. What I do like to do sometimes, is to write a list of things I have done… makes me feel better!
- I do not have a perfectly clean house… that never happens, I try, and try and try. As long as it looks “clean” I’m all good! My sister and mom are opposites, poor things!
- I am a night owl.
- My husband & I went to a formal event for the first time in our marriage last week, it was so much fun. (see above picture)
- I wear a mask over my eyes when I sleep.
- I’m not a very organized person. (see #1)
- I like coffee from Starbucks, not the store bought kind you put in your own coffee maker, a latte! I enjoy one once in a while!
- Sometimes I yell at my kids… that is hard to say out loud, I’m a work in progress.
- In my mid twenties, I was addicted to Diet Coke.
- I can admit that I am not an office assistant and that’s why I’m so thankful to have ladies who do their job well at our wellness office.
- I completed my first ever “facebook fail” last week when I put something meant for a private moms group on my public page…was something about Aunt Flow.
- I have a husband who loves me dearly.
- Praying that the miscarriage and loss I went through last year can make me a stronger person to be able help others with similar stories.
- My daughter’s preschool teacher is surprised when I am the first car in line at pick up.
- I fill my gas tank up when it’s on empty- on the line. (yes, I know it’s bad for the car)
- I LOVE, love, love sweets, and love trying to make them healthier.
- I have an awesome group of blogging friends & encourage-rs who keep me in line.
- My son loves to draw just like me.
- I was never a writer, in high school I missed some of the fundamentals but thankfully learned in college and am continuing to get better.
- Although we usually eat real food, I like to get chick-fil-a a couple times a month with my kids. (I get a kids meal)
- Right now, I’m having a hard time trusting God with my desire to have more children, but that’s mainly because my logical mind knows what is right to do but my heart has a hard time. But I do know the Lord’s plans are the best!
- 10 years ago I got my eyeliner tattooed on but the pigment didn’t stay, all that pain for nothing!
- If you take the DISC profile quiz, my profile is disc- in that order, meaning I’m dominant, have high influence, lower steadiness and not very compliant.
- I DO NOT like any sea food, if it swims, it’s not for me, however, I do like the beach!
- I’m thankful for God’s grace and mercy every.single.day!
- I’m getting a new blog design from my friend Mindy as we speak, I am so excited!
- I graduated with my Bachelors in Elementary Education and less than 2 weeks later my daughter was born.
- I love crafty things and am working on getting my craft closet organized which is taking a long time. (see #6)
- Sometimes I’m on the computer too much.
- Jake is the name of both my sister’s husband and my husband- no not the same guy lol!
- I need Jesus EVERY single moment! Without him I fall apart! (and have been loving this song!)
There you have it, 31 honest things about me. I am not perfect and still have a lot of things to learn…. Now what’s something honest about you?
Happy birthday! Thanks for sharing your list. Mine would look a lot like it. 🙂
Thank you Kimberly!
Happy Belated birthday! You sound like a very honest, humble gal, I enjoy reading your blog!
Christine, thank you so much!
What a neat way to get to know you better – *big smile*. I love everything about you! I need to take the DISC profile quiz 🙂 Have a fabulous day in the Lord!
