This year’s Random Acts of Kindness Day falls on February 17, 2016.

Doing acts of kindness make us feel good about ourselves. The person on the receiving end of our kindness gets extra love that day. There is just something that makes our hearts lighter knowing we put a smile on someones face – even just for a moment.

My family has this great list of things we do in honor of Random Acts of Kindness day.

Random Acts of Kindness

Random Acts Of Kindness Ideas

Heart Attack Daddy’s Car

Cut out as many hearts as you can out of construction paper and tape them to the inside and outside of the car. Set aside a few of them and write reasons why you love that person. When my husband was deployed, the kids and I sent him a “heart attack” care package. We stuffed that box full of hearts! So fun!

Reasons Why I Love You

My husband and I will cut out 7 hearts from construction paper – 7 per child. For one week we tape one heart to each of our kids bedroom doors. On the hearts we write the reasons why we love that child. Examples: You are creative, You are funny, You are smart, You love to read, You give the best hugs, etc

Take What You Need Poster

Are there stores in your community that still have public boards up so people may pin things that they have for sale or their missing dog posters? We made a “take what you need” poster and pinned it up at a local grocery store here in town.

Bring A Meal

Life can be hard. If you know someone who is sick, mourning the loss of a loved one, just had a new baby, a shut in or someone who is struggling in a hard season of life and could use a pick me up – bring them a meal or special desert.

Donate

Once a year we will collect items to be donated to the local shelter. This past November we were able to donate a box full of winter hats, gloves and socks.

Click on the image below for your “take what you need” free printable. —–>

Take what you need

What do you and your family do in honor of Random Acts of Kindness Day? I’d love to hear about your ideas.

I know there are hundreds of ways to display those beautiful Christmas cards we get each year. I’ve done most of them over the course of my beautiful life. Everything form hanging them from decorative ribbon to placing them in a crystal bowl. A couple years ago I was reading Living Magazine and found a quick and inexpensive way to display cards. I needed a change and this was perfect.

A simple wooden wreath.

Well, more like an embroidery hoop with mini-clothespins, but like I said, a simple wooden wreath. It worked perfect.

karinewsom.com

What does this have to do with health, which is what I usually write about? Nothing. Not only am I passionate about teaching and educating people on health – I enjoy being crafty too! So, this is just a look at another side of me!

It cost less than $10 for the supplies and didn’t take long at all to make. The glue drying is the most time consuming part of it all. This is when you get to play with your kids, watch Netflix or eat cookies. Or all three. You can choose the size and number of hoops you’ll need depending on how many cards you usually get. I did one large and two medium. They really look beautiful once they fill up and make it so easy for everyone to scan and look at the cards when they are visiting your home.

Now, wouldn’t you say that these simple wooden wreaths make your own Christmas scene look so much better? I thought so! Now go make one for you!

What You’ll Need:

What You’ll Need To Do

  1. I glued the mini clothespins every two inches around the hoop.  I alternated the pins – one facing out, one facing in.
  2. let them dry overnight (simply because I got side tracked and didn’t get back to it the same day).
  3. Once dry, I attached the ribbon and hung it on display.

Like I said, when they are completely filled, they look really pretty – like a big wheel of cards. It’s nice to be able to see them all and be reminded how blessed we are to know so many wonderful and loving people – which always makes my heart happy.

What is your favorite way to display your Christmas cards?

4-Ways-To-Celebrate-Jesus

Written by Courtney @ A + Life, Contributing Writer

December always has a way of sneaking up on us, doesn’t it? I know for our family, with homeschooling, November birthdays, and Thanksgiving, before you know it- December is here! And if we aren’t careful, it can be really easy to get swept up into the massive consumerism of the holiday season and completely miss out on the opportunity to share with our girls the REAL reason we celebrate in the first place.

Jesus, of course! So here are four things that our family does to make sure to keep Jesus at the forefront of all of our celebrating.

4 Ways To Celebrate Jesus

Celebrate Advent

Is there anything more beautiful than celebrating the advent season? We make sure to have our family present in church every Sunday during the holiday season. Our kids sit in the service with us, so they get the chance to see our candles being lit, hear the progression of the Christmas story, and the beautiful worship music all preparing our hearts and minds for the wonderful celebration of the birth of Jesus! We also count down to Christmas with…..

Truth In The Tinsel

Have you ever heard of Truth In The Tinsel? It is a wonderful program for the 24 days in December leading up to Christmas to help teach the Christmas story to our littles through hands on crafts and stories. Each day gets a verse, a craft, and an activity to help them remember all of the special details that happened before our Savior was born. We have done Truth In The Tinsel for the last few years and it has been such a blessing to our family! I recommend it to every family I know who has small kids. They love it!

(PS. If you don’t want to do a craft every day, they have an option to just buy a pack of coloring page style ornaments. So you can still teach the story but have an easy craft to do! Perfect!)

Operation Christmas Child

OCC has been such a blessing to our family! We really want Abigail (and Mabel as she grows!) to learn to GIVE to others, especially those in need. Taking the focus off of themselves and the things that they want or can get, it helps them to turn their eyes to others instead. And as Christian parents, there is almost no better and more tangible way for us to teach them the concept of “loving your neighbor” than through OCC! We love to shop year round with those sweet kids in mind. It has been really neat to listen to Abigail talk about mailing “the little girls” gifts and to go shopping and see her thinking about what they might like. We shop for little toys and craft supplies, toiletries, and other fun things little girls like Abigail would like. Every year we also choose to track our boxes so we can find out where our boxes are going. Last year they went to Mexico and the year before that they went to South America!

Three Christmas Gifts

Another way that we keep Christmas from becoming completely overwhelming and about the presents- we only do 3 gifts for each of our girls. As they get older, we plan to incorporate more of the symbolism of Gold, Frankincense, and Myrrh into their actual gifts. But, for now, we simply choose three items we know they would love or need to represent the 3 gifts the wise men brought to Jesus. Abigail loves that and we love the opportunity to have just one more way to point her to Jesus this Christmas.

How do you incorporate Jesus into your Christmas celebration with your family?

Written by Courtney @ A + Life, Contributing Writer

It is hard to believe that we are already one month into the fall season and that before long (if not already!) we will be bombarded with all things Christmas related. But, today, I wanted to share about some of our very favorite fall things to do with our daughter, Abigail.

This time of year is perfect for being outside all day long! The crisp autumn air, the bright sun, the sights and sounds of fall, all make for a wonderful outdoor experience. There are SO many fun things that you can do, but here are just a few of our favorites! So, without further ado, I give you:

Five Fun Fall Activities For Children

1. Visit A Pumpkin Patch

The one thing we always make sure to do in the fall is to visit our local pumpkin patch! It may be small and quaint, but we love walking around and selecting our pumpkins and mums, taking a small hay ride, capturing a few special moments on our camera, and letting the farmers teach our little girl all about pumpkins.

Day 2 Day Joys Pumpkin Patch

2. Watch An Outdoor Movie

This has been a new addition to our family fun, but recently my husband, Jim, acquired a small projector to play movies on. We set up a comfy place to sit in the backyard, hang up a big white sheet, and enjoy making our very own drive in of sorts in the back of our house! Projectors are pretty easy to rent and borrow, so I highly suggest getting your hands on one and giving a backyard movie night a try this fall!

3. Backyard Camping

If you’re already in your backyard for a family movie night, why not also set up a tent and have a camp out as well? I’m not much(read: NOT AT ALL) for camping, but if the weather is right and my own personal bathrooms are close, you can get me out there 😉

Day 2 Day Joys Camping

4. Play In The Leaves

We aren’t fortunate(or are we? enough to have large trees in our yard capable of being piled up and raked, but Grandma’s house sure does! There isn’t anything more quintessential childhood than running and jumping and burying yourself in a massive pile of leaves.

5. Roast S’mores

And of course, what is fall without a roaring bonfire, toasted marshmallows, and s’mores to enjoy? Getting sticky, sweet, and messy together make some of the most fun memories!

Day 2 Day Joys Smores

This is my list, but I would love to hear yours! So tell me,

What are some of your favorite fall activities to do with your kids?

It seems these days that good, restful sleep is hard to come by. Not only with adults, but children as well. As this is not an exciting fact, it is a reality and I believe we have a wonderful variety of natural options to help us.

For instance, there are herbal teas, essential oils, supplements and something I want to share with you today – magnesium butter.

Ahhh, this stuff is amazing. Why do I love it so much? Because it provides our body something that is lacking so severely in today’s generation – magnesium.

There are many benefits of healthy magnesium levels. To mention just a few:

  1. Magnesium helps muscle and nerve function. Serving as calcium’s vital partner, magnesium will allow calcium to do it’s job to build muscle growth.
  2. Magnesium plays an important role in gut health. Without good levels of magnesium aid in the absorption of copper, potassium, vitamin D and zinc. It also helps regulate blood sugar levels, which will lessen the risk for diabetes.
  3. Magnesium can help lower blood pressure or keep blood pressure low by allowing your muscles to relax, contract and push blood through the arteries and veins without force.
  4. Magnesium helps melatonin (the sleep regulating hormone) stay balanced, which allows for more peaceful sleep.
  5. Magnesium can help balance stress hormones, eliminating stress and tension and allowing for a more relaxed state of being (which in return will help with rest as well).

The list goes on and on, but those five points alone should get people’s attention when it comes to supplementing with safe sources of magnesium. Data from 2012 stated that 48% of the American population, 79% over the age of 55, were deficient in magnesium. This isn’t good, especially when it is such a vital mineral and nutrient for our bodies.

Along with taking a liquid mineral supplement, we use magnesium butter every evening before we go to bed. We just spread a thin layer either behind our knees or on our inner arm (where the skin in thin) and that’s it! I have made this for several family members and friends and they all love it and can tell a huge difference in their quality of sleep (especially the adults…go figure)!

The recipe is simple and last a long time on the shelf! We always use it, so we go through a 4 ounce container in about 3-4 months (three of us use it). Since the recipe doesn’t contain water, it would probably last a good 6-8 months if kept clean (wash hands before using the butter) and can always be extended to 12-18 months or longer if refrigerated!

You can make this recipe ‘naked’, meaning adding no essential oils, or you can add your favorite calming and sleep inducing oils such as lavender, cedarwood, vetiver, ylang ylang or sandalwood! If you are using therapeutic grade essential oils, only use a total of 40 drops of oils combined for this amount, which is one cup.

The end result with the color will vary depending on the type of shea butter you use. We use a raw shea butter that has a deep, deep yellow tone and rich scent and amazing benefits that trump refined and bleached shea butters.

ZZZZZZ

Whipped Naked Magnesium Butter

What You’ll Need:

  • 3/8 cups virgin coconut oil
  • 3/8 cups raw shea butter
  • ¼ cup magnesium oil (how to make it yourself)
  • ¼ cup almond or jojoba oil

What You’ll Do:

  1. Melt the virgin coconut oil and raw shea butter over low heat just until it’s all liquid.
  2. Add the almond or jojoba oil, pour into a medium glass bowl and allow to cool to room temp. You can leave on the counter for an hour or so or you can stick it in the fridge to speed up the process. I like the fridge :o)
  3. Using a hand mixer or immersion blender, take your room temp oil mix, turn on the blender and slowly add the room temp magnesium oil.
  4. Mix or blend this until it is creamy. You can’t have any separation, which means, no water droplets anywhere. This can take a few minutes if the oils are room temp. If they are too warm, it will take longer.
  5. Place the bowl in the fridge for around 30 minutes. You want to see it starting to harden and solidify.
  6. Once it’s solidifying, remove the bowl and using the mixer or blender with a whisk attachment, whip the mixture until light and fluffy! If you are adding essential oils, do it during this step.
  7. Store in a glass jar or container and place in a cool, dark place.

I hope you enjoy the wonderful benefits of this magnesium butter that is safe for you and your entire family!

What is your favorite natural solution for calming and peaceful sleep?

There is something about summer that brings with it the need to make me feel like I live near the ocean, palm trees and an abundant supply of coconuts. The truth is, I live in the foothills of Colorado – which I absolutely love – but it doesn’t bring with it the euphoria of ocean waves and coconut beverages!

This is where I use our love of smoothies to fulfill this need for all things tropical. Everyday during the hot months of Colorado, we have a smoothie for breakfast or lunch. My kids and I all enjoy the simple taste of pineapples, coconuts and bananas whipped into submission in our Ninja single serve cups!

This recipe below is a favorite among the many we have logged during our adventures in smoothie making. Of course, if you aren’t a fan of some of the ingredients we have listed, then just sub with what your taste buds long for! Smoothies are amazing at tasting good no matter what combos you use to make your creation.

When making smoothies, we like to do them as healthy as possible. In doing so we use organic whenever it’s available (which is usually always), we use dairy from year round grass-fed cows, fresh or frozen fruit (never canned), non-gmo almond or coconut milks, organic chia seeds, raw and local honey, raw virgin coconut oil, raw protein powder, raw coconut water – you get the idea. We love to mix and match and come up with new creations! It’s fun to be creative!

We hope you enjoy this creation as much as we do!

bananas

Tropical Delight Smoothie

What you need:

1 banana, sliced (either fresh or frozen)

1/2 cup pineapple, fresh or frozen

1/4 cup peaches, fresh or frozen
3/4 cup coconut milk
1/3 cup full-fat yogurt (can use full-fat dairy kefir)
1/4 cup finely shredded coconut
1 tablespoon fresh orange juice
1 tablespoon raw, local honey
1 tablespoon, raw virgin coconut oil

1/2 cup ice (this is optional and typically used when the fruit you are using isn’t frozen, if you are using frozen fruit, it usually is plenty cold and you won’t need the ice)

What to do:

Place the ingredients in the blender in the order listed. Blend until pureed to desired thickness. Add more coconut milk or coconut water if it’s too thick. Add more banana if you want it thicker. Pour into glasses and enjoy!

What is your family’s favorite smoothie?

Sometimes certain subjects aren’t exciting to talk about, but they affect our lives in more ways than we know. One of those is snoring. Yes, snoring and this is something that I have had to deal with in my 15 years of marriage. After 15 years of trying almost every way to eliminate this problem, it is FINALLY solved and we’ve had two months of snore-free nights. Now, I want to share with you how we got to this amazing place of peaceful and restful sleep – naturally!

goodnite

First, lets look at some realistic statistics on this topic:

  •  30% of people 30 or older snore
  •  40% of people 40 or older snore
  •  19% of adult females snore
  •  59% of people who say their partner snores
  •  5.6% of children snore habitually
  •  28% of people who say they experience sleep apnea
  •  38 decibels – the average decibel level of a snore
  •  Approximately 9% of all men and 4% of all women between the ages of 30 and 60 are affected by sleep apnea.
  •  Sleep apnea may occur in as much as 20 to 40 percent of the adult population that are snorers.
  •  The partner of someone afflicted with sleep apnea loses approximately one hour of sleep per evening and may wake up as many as 21 times per hour, a side-effect of apnea known as “Spousal Arousal Syndrome”.
  •  People that are suffering from obstructive sleep apnea are as much as six times more likely to be involved in a car crash then those without sleep disorders. This is due to the fact that they are drowsy from the condition.
  •  According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, drowsy driving is responsible for at least 100,000 automobile crashes as well as 1,550 fatalities per year.

breezey

Now that we know this, isn’t it time we do something about it? On top of it, do something about it naturally.

Many of you already know the wonderful benefits of using therapeutic grade essential oils. Now, for me, I was always skeptical when it came to the properties of essential oils, although I’ve used them over the course of the past 22 years – mostly just for the scent, not the health benefits.

A few months ago, I came to a point I was pretty fed up with my husband’s snoring. Not fed up with my husband, but with the nearly sleepless nights I was getting because of this issue. Not only that – but sleep apnea had become a part of this issue, which is never fun. Laying awake at night, listening to the person you love stop breathing for short periods of time, waiting to hear them start breathing again. I also knew how this was affecting him. Read the statistics above if you need a reminder.

As a last resort, I asked a friend who used essential oils if there were any known oils that would help with snoring issues. She went through her book and gave me the names of some oil blends that were said to help eliminate snoring. I went ahead and ordered them along with the handbook, still skeptical, but desperate for something to work. Something that wouldn’t involve pills, surgery or machines.

Before we began applying the oils, I read through the essential oils handbook twice to make sure I had knowledge before blindly slathering therapeutic grade oils over my husband. I learned the why and how of using oils, the application, the cautions and everything I needed to know to understand why these should work.

Finally, the experimenting again. That’s how I looked at it – an experiment and I only gave it a week. I didn’t even jump in with both feet – I guess I was just hoping for the best and going for it.

Well, long story short, I began applying these 3 oil blends alternately (very important when using blends) every night on my husband’s chest and back and I am happy to say that we have had two months of snore-free nights! At first I thought it was a fluke, so we decided to stop using the oils for a couple nights, but the snoring returned, so we went back to using the oil blends.

aspire

Since seeing the results personally of using therapeutic grade essential oils, I pulled out all the books and information I’ve collected over the past 22 years and have had my nose in those books drinking in everything I’ve overlooked all these years. I am now also taking classes through a highly respectable certification program and have become a distributor of certified therapeutic grade essential oils through a non-MLM company.

I chose this company because it was the brand I first used and saw results with and I liked the fact that I can offer them to my clients a lower price than those from other companies since all middle men are removed. They are a wonderful, small company that sells high quality, therapeutic grade essential oils that work wonderfully!

If you would like to try to get some much needed rest in your home, you can take the steps we took and purchase our “Quiet Nights ~ Stop The Snoring Kit”! The kit is already a savings of 25% and you can get an extra 15% off by using the coupon code STOPSNORINGNOW!

We hope you find much success in using these oils as we did!

How to Pull off a Simple - Yet Special - Father's Day

Written by Karen @ To Work With My Hands, Contributing Writer

Father’s Day is just around the corner. Have you made plans yet?

When you have several young children, it can sometimes be a challenge to pull together a big celebration. Thankfully, celebrating special days doesn’t have to be big or complicated. Just putting a little “heart’ into them can make even the simplest plans memorable.

If you still have small children who need lots of help with Father’s Day, you’ll likely be focusing most of your efforts on your husband. Have you considered lately just how incredible he is?

As a single-income family, my husband has, by God’s grace, gone out nearly every weekday for almost 3 decades to provide a living for our family. There have been seasons of long hours, pressures of project deadlines, and at times, extended travel that put him in a lonely hotel room while the rest of us were still together at home.

Day in and day out, he has persevered, endured numerous difficult work-related situations, and stayed the course – all for us.

He’s also been a strong and faithful father. Raising a house full of boys isn’t easy, and I know I certainly couldn’t have navigated some of the most difficult times without his wisdom, strength, and leadership. You might just say he’s my hero.

I’m sure you have your own special hero too! What better way to celebrate them this Father’s Day than with a big, delicious hero sandwich? Gather a few ingredients and create a lunch or dinner that will make him feel just as special as he is.

You can make your own fresh homemade buns or rolls, or choose from the wide variety of breads in the bakery of your grocery store.

Here’s some ideas:

  • Flour tortillas or flatbread
  • Pita pockets
  • Sub rolls
  • Ciabata rolls
  • Kaiser rolls
  • French baguettes
  • Sourdough rolls
  • Bagels
  • Whole grain sandwich bread

And here’s some filling ideas to get you started:

  • Deli meat (we love Hormel’s Natural Choice, which are free of added nitrates.)
  • Sliced cheese – try muenster, baby swiss, provolone, cheddar, or mozzarella
  • Sandwich-sliced pickles
  • Sliced tomatoes
  • Lettuce
  • Pickled jalapeño peppers
  • Sliced red or yellow onions
  • Green or ripe olives
  • Sliced sweet bell peppers in various colors
  • Condiments such as mayonnaise, flavored mustards, oil and vinegar, salt, and pepper

Hero Sandwich - A perfect way to celebrate Father's Day

Serve your sandwiches with a simple fresh fruit salad, his favorite crackers or chips and dip, or a big dill pickle. Round it out with his favorite dessert (it will be something including chocolate here!), and you’ll have a meal fit for a hero.

Be sure to get your children involved too:

  • Enlist their help assembling the ingredients for your sandwiches.
  • Help them write notes of gratitude to their Daddy before Father’s Day.
  • If you have children old enough, let them serve their Daddy by taking his plate to him at the table.
  • Make sure he knows he’s everyone’s hero.

By investing just a little time and effort, you can keep things simple and still make it a very special and memorable Father’s Day for your hero.

Do you have more ideas for making Father’s Day special?

Snack time!

Personally, I’m not a big “snacker”. I can go meal to meal without needing any extra food to keep me going. Although, having a family, I need to have a plan on hand for our meals and snacks and then I need to make sure they are ready and available to eat!

My kids, on the other hand, seem to need a snack every 30 minutes. I can understand why since they are on the go, non-stop, active kids. This can present a problem when you are wanting to feed your family healthy foods that nourish the body.  Unfortunately, the quick and convenient, grab and go processed options you find on the grocery store shelves don’t make the cut for me. It’s hard enough to make sure they have nourishing and healthy lunches everyday – then to add in snacks to mix, that means more creative ideas are needed!

I know it would be easier to go this route, but I’ve spent too many years building a strong foundation of health in my family, this is one area I don’t want to skimp on.  This means I need to be creative in the kitchen when it comes to snacks.

I have a long list of snacks that we rely on, but one of our favorites are these Nut Butter Bites! The kids love helping with them as well – which I think makes them even more enjoyable. Kids love helping and being a part of creating the food they eat.

These amazingly healthy bites are a great snack for my active kids and only a couple are needed for them to feel satisfied. Packed with protein from the nut butter, a healthy source of energy from raw honey, good and healthy fat from the coconut and extremely low in sodium – you can ‘t go wrong with these delicious treats! They are more like a dessert than a snack. That’s always a plus!

To top off these already great nut butter bites, roll them in sucanat (unrefined cane sugar), shredded coconut, cocoa powder or mini chocolate chips (we like Enjoy Life! allergen-free brand). Hands down, these are healthier than any overly processed and refined ‘snack’ you can get off a shelf.

Sure, there’s a few minutes of time involved, but isn’t your family worth it? Of course they are!

Along with many other healthy snacks, appetizers, beverages, main dishes and desserts, this recipe can be found in my cookbook, Real Food. Real Kitchen. So Good! I hope you and your family enjoy these as much as we do!

Easy Peasy Nut Butter Bites

Finding healthy options for snack time isn't always easy! This is a quick and simple snack that is protein packed and healthy all the way around! It can also be adjusted to fit any allergy needs you may have.
Author:
Recipe type: Snack
Serves: 24-36
What you need:
  • ½ cup organic natural peanut butter (no added ingredients, just peanuts) or nut butter of choice
  • ½ cup organic raw honey
  • ½ – 1 cup organic unsweetened coconut, finely shredded
  • ⅓ cup organic mini dark chocolate chips, soy-free (we like Enjoy Life! brand, allergen-free)
  • sucanat (unrefined sugar) for rolling the bites (other options: you can roll them in coconut, chocolate chips or cocoa powder)
What to do:
  1. In a medium size bowl, mix the peanut butter and honey until combined thoroughly.
  2. Add the chocolate chips. You can add more or less according to your taste (I always add the larger amount).
  3. Add the coconut in ¼ cup amounts until the consistency reaches a thick, yet semi-sticky state.
  4. You don’t want it so sticky that you can’t roll it, but you don’t want it so dry that it wont hold together. Find the happy medium.
  5. Once you are able to roll them and they still have some stickiness to them, roll into balls and then roll in the sucanat.
  6. Place on wax or parchment paper on a baking sheet or plate.
  7. Refrigerate for a while so they can harden up a bit, transfer to a glass jar and keep in the fridge.

What is your favorite healthy snack?

Acts of Showing Kindness

Written by Christy @ Fresh Mix Momma, Contributing Writer

It’s February, the month of all things lovey dovey.

I personally think that one of the best ways to show someone that you care, is to show kindness.

We need more kindness in this world. If everyone would make an effort to show acts of kindness everyday, this world could be a much better place.

There are many ways that we can show kindness, both to our families and to others around us. However, it is so very easy to get caught up in the day to day routines and get so busy that we forget to make that extra effort.

Here are a few ideas of Acts of kindness that we should practice:

Showing kindness to husband/wife:

Showing kindness to children:

  • Saying “I Love you”
  • extra hugs/kisses
  • extra quality time
  • special treat
  • Telling them “good job/I’m proud of you”

Showing kindness to loved ones/friends:

  • Tell them “I care about you”
  • Send a letter/card
  • Phone call just to see how they are doing
  • Thinking about you text
  • Simply saying “you’re awesome!”

Showing kindness to strangers:

  • Holding the door
  • A simple smile (amazing how this can change someones attitude)
  • Use manners (manners matter even with strangers)
  • Pay for their meal/coffee (I now this one isn’t practical all the time, but when you get the chance, I highly recommend it. It can really make someone’s day)
  • Blessing bag (keep a bag full of toiletries & a gift card to eat in your car so you can hand it out to someone in need)
  • Serve them in a nursing home or homeless shelter

No Act of Kindness, no matter how small,

Another way to show kindness to others is to pray for them. I mention this one separate because I believe it’s so very important and it can go for anyone. Taking the time to remember the needs of others and keeping them in your prayers is a wonderful act of kindness.

Of course there are many other ways to show kindness, but these are just a few that we should try to put into practice as much as we can. Although, many of them seem like common sense, it is easy to get wrapped up in our own lives that we slack off in the kindness category. Try to practice kindness everyday! More kindness in the world means that there will be more hope, more good attitudes, happier people, better world.

What are some way you show kindness?
