Meet Rachel

Welcome to day2day joys!

I’m so glad you are here, TRULY I am!

This is a blog about Faith, Family and Health. A few years ago I started a family blog to be able to keep up with friends and family and eventually it turned to a passion of mine to help teach people about living naturally. And since then, it’s even been a few MORE years and now mostly share videos over on Youtube

When I said “Yes!” to marry the love of my life I had no idea about living naturally or even what being healthy really meant. I thought it meant you weighed a healthy weight, drank diet coke, ate low fat and when you were sick you went to the doctor. Although I knew my husband was about to go to chiropractic school I had no clue all that I would learn about how God made our bodies or that what we put in and on our bodies really does matter.

MY FAMILY While my husband was in school, he learned and shared with me that all of our bodies have a nervous system that controls every function, tissue and organ in our bodies, for you to breathe, for you to birth a child, for you to even be reading this right now, the information from your brain down your spinal cord out through all your nerves has to get to the right place. My husband, a wellness chiropractor gets so passionate when he is teaching this concept because it is so simple.  If you are having a health-related issue it could likely be because you have interference in your nervous system.

After learning this truth about health and healing we made it our mission to help educate our community and empower people that they are in charge of their health. To keep my family happy and healthy the first thing I do is make sure everyone is getting regular chiropractic adjustments, thankfully we have Dr. Daddy, then we focus on eating real foods, getting exercise, and removing toxins along with having a healthy mind.

Last, but most important, I’m a Christian who loves the Lord! His plans are far better than any plan I have! Even though going the valley’s in the moment is hard, harder than I’ve ever imagined, His plans are better and through tough times I’ve grown closer to the Lord. “God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.” Ephesians 3:20 (Message Bible)

And I think it’s important to be joyful in life! It goes by so fast! Sometimes I have to remind myself of that. Being joyful is sometimes hard! Can I get an amen? 🙂

 A little more about me:

I’m a stay-at-home-mom to Lincoln (11), Julia (9), London (4), and Coby (2) and wife to Dr. Jake. I enjoy youtubing, crafting, and love DARK chocolate.

Why is health important to you?

Health is important because if you don’t have your health you are not able to live to your potential and I want to be able to live out the life that Christ has called me to live!

What is your favorite bible verse?

Ephesians 3:20 is my the verse for this season in my life. We have been through a lot the past couple of years and I am just continuing to believe that His plans as Beyond my BEYOND all that I could ask, think or imagine!

Favorite household chore or task?

I like to do everything in the kitchen, whether it is cooking or cleaning, I don’t mind it… what I do not like is folding the laundry! 🙂

Are you a more spontaneous mom or more organized mom?

I am a more spontaneous mom and I guess that gets me in trouble at times.  I am working on becoming more organized and scheduled. The quote always sticking out in my mind… “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail” gets me because I know if I had a better schedule, I could get more done.  There are things that have to just happen, and others are just planned at the last minute… and no matter how scheduled I become, I hope I can always be a bit spontaneous.
