PpPp…don’t say that!

While being a nuisance to me on the couch while I was writing a blog post, my son Lincoln was saying p p p p p p p. I turned to him and said “we don’t say that” knowing he didn’t have to go to the bathroom.

At different levels of loudness but in a rhythmic tune. I said, “Lincoln, we don’t say….” He had a BIG grin on his face and was looking right into my face. He stopped me by saying:

“Mommy… I was saying the letter p”

OK, you better bet that was funny! Letter p eh?

“My friends, be joyful, even in the midst of tests or trials” James 1:2

Sometimes we just have to laugh at the things kids say or even do!

So funny! Just last night my son (7 yrs) was chanting “H-A-P-P-Y” over and over, spelling “happy.” And every time he did, his younger sister (4) would say “Ooo! You said a bad word! Don’t say that!” Which spurred him on to continue spelling happy.

  6. Count it all joy, indeed! Your son is a clever one. :)
